Different questions related to the use and performance of tactile sensors are faced in this research line.

First, tactile sensors are quite error prone and have low linearity, hysteresis, drift and mismatching between tactels. Therefore, a main research task consists in developing algorithms able to compensate such errors.

Second, another point of view arises if we wonder at what extent previous errors can be tolerated, and some research is done to know the influence of them on parameters used in control algorithms.

Moreover, we are also interested in knowing what information obtained from the tactile sensor is more relevant at the application level.
